Seriously think about viewing her amazing videos. She is a vibrant and amazing young lady sharing her passion for living a raw food life style I'm having a wonderful week and the sky's the limit when it comes to all the recipes and their potentiality. My dream would be to have my own personal chef. I can dream can't I? Fortunate for me we have several raw restaurants in the area one vegan drive-through here in San Diego is called Evolution. This wonderful yummy place has a nice raw food section on their menu. Come to think about it, I think I'll pay them a little visit tomorrow...Feeling good, how about you? I wish you the same.

Raw Thoughts
Honesty comes to you if you are an honest person. Living ones life without care of how it impacts another is a very selfish way to exist. Love yourself first but if you can't then how can you truly love another? Don't use people, love them without receiving anything in return

Anorexia
Learn More About This Terrible Disease It saddens me to hear of those suffering from this and I can tell you I am a far cry from having this disorder, mine is quite the opposite. I'm what is referred to as an 'emotional eater' couple that with some physical issues, it's been a struggle keeping weight off although I have the best intentions to stay healthy. Lets say I know what to do but don't always do it. Exercise is key, but mainly, balance is key and defiantly listening to one's body plays a key role. Those with mental health problems don't always get the care they need so it's up to family members to step in; however, sometimes this can create much hostility in that individual so can easily be filed under the name of 'another catch 22'. No matter what one does to help it just all seems to backfire on them. What to do then? If you are a spiritual person I say pray as much as you can for these ones and hope they stop the destructive behavior.

Marriage & Family
What keeps a marriage going? Love and respect, kindness & a merciful heart; it has no deception or selfish want. What keeps a family strong? Same as above but add a nice crisp salad with myriads of delicious veggies all nicely chopped in. I am very blessed to have been married to the love of my life for nearly 25 years. We have together three wonderful children that I am glad to say display sincere kindness, love, respect and especially merciful hearts to the people in their lives. I tell my children to live life without having a vindictive spirit, vindictive people look for fault, try to hurt others while slowly rotting away in their hate. Have love toward others even when it's very difficult to do so.This is the best recipe I can ever think of.

Endurance
Endurance to continue on with what one believes in despite opposition whether it comes from an outside source or from within.
Note to self: I have air in my lungs and love in my heart. This is all I need to endure any and all obstacles that come my way.

Love
Love comes in the form a delicious apple or perhaps in Snow White's case a not-so-delicious apple but nonetheless, love comes in all forms. Be reunited with who you are by the food choices you make. There is nothing like a fresh crisp apple salad with warmed pecans and ice cold glass of tea on a hot summery day. Reconnect with those sensations by the dishes you prepare.

It's a New Dawn, it's a New Day, it's a New Life...
Yes and I truly am feeling good. I am finishing up my 20 day Master Cleanse one more week to go then I convert to the raw veggies and fruit along with my Kaeng Raeng detox meal replacement. In times past when either a meat eater or ovo-lacto vegetarian the cleanse seemed at first a little daunting since I would experience the first three days with severe headaches. But this time was so much different; I had a very dull headache, nothing that a pack of ice behind the neck couldn't solve and just in an hour it was completely gone. So I guess the moral to this story is the cleaner you keep your foods the easier it is to detox any outside elements that might have sneakily invaded your unsuspecting system.

To Raw or Not To Raw
What I love about California as supposed to living in Hawaii is the abundant supply of oranges at the farmers markets. Oranges dipped in Raw Cocoa sweet sauce...ahhhh nothing like it. I know the oceans in Hawaii are gorgeous but the California coastline holds something very dear to me. So many memories so little writing space but I can tell you there is nothing like it in the whole world.

Free
Those of you embarking on a raw diet need to realize how free you can be with the fruits and vegetables that you have. I encourage you to eat until your heart is content. There are countless ways to prepare these foods. Having a food processor is key though. I'm not missing the mindless noshing in front of the television but instead enjoy a brisk walk listening to my favorite tunes on my iPod. You will be surprised how just a short brisk walk can decrease the appetite and keep your mind off the foods you think that you are missing. Let me say that I have not been 100% raw but my cholesterol has come down 20 pts which needless to say makes me very very happy. It's so important to enjoy who you are and everything that encompasses being you and please do your very best to keep away from toxic people. I mean those ones that appear to be your friend or loving family member but instead seem to always find a way to bring you down. Stay focused on your happiness and the freedom that comes from being a happy person. Do your best each day to feel good about how you treated yourself and the people you encounter each day so that once your head finally hits that pillow at night you can be content with the fact that you did your very best.

Raw = Real
Get real with yourself, eating raw or at least for those of you contemplating a raw lifestyle start out at about 50% which is the average vegetable intake of any balanced diet. My youngest daughter studies the Japanese culture, language and lifestyle and according to most Japanese citizens, overweight people have a character flaw. I don't know if I totally agree with it but I do believe if one has problems with lack of control, be it food related issues etc...it's probably something that might need to be addressed at a deeper level but it's certainly not a "character flaw". Learn to love yourself and the rest will follow.

Noodles with "Peanut" Sauce
Well I had to wing it again..this is getting silly but yes I didn't measure my ingredients..again. What I did is soak the kelp noodles in lemon water meanwhile I processed up some soaked almonds about 1 cup with pickled ginger, olive oil, nama shoyu and orange juice. I drained a portion of the noodles then placed them in a bowl. Chopped up a a little red onion and some avocado. Use a scissors to cut up the noodles into bite size pieces then mix in your peanut sauce. Top with a shake or two of the nama shoyu, a few more pieces of ginger with the chopped onions and avocado. Delish! Of course add carrots, sprouts..anything you desire. Bon Apetit'

Asian Dipping Sauce
This makes a great dressing for salads, good for nori rolls. It mostly consists of orange juice, a touch of agave, nama shoyu some sea salt and ginger; juice, powder or minced.. I make it to taste because I want that perfect blend of sweet and savory. Blend it all up in your Vitamix or food processor. BTW this tastes great on salads loaded with avocado. Pickle your own ginger slices and add that on later. I made my own pickled cucumbers last month chopped it into my mock tuna salad and boy was it delish.
