Raw = Real

Get real with yourself, eating raw or at least for those of you contemplating a raw lifestyle start out at about 50% which is the average vegetable intake of any balanced diet. My youngest daughter studies the Japanese culture, language and lifestyle and according to most Japanese citizens, overweight people have a character flaw. I don't know if I totally agree with it but I do believe if one has problems with lack of control, be it food related issues etc...it's probably something that might need to be addressed at a deeper level but it's certainly  not a "character flaw". Learn to love yourself and the rest will follow.

Noodles with "Peanut" Sauce

Well I had to wing it again..this is getting silly but yes I didn't measure my ingredients..again. What I did is soak the kelp noodles in lemon water meanwhile I processed up some soaked almonds about 1 cup with pickled ginger, olive oil, nama shoyu and orange juice. I drained a portion of the noodles then placed them in a bowl. Chopped up a a little red onion and some avocado. Use a scissors to cut up the noodles into bite size pieces then mix in your peanut sauce. Top with a shake or two of the nama shoyu, a few more pieces of ginger with the chopped onions and avocado. Delish! Of course add carrots, sprouts..anything you desire. Bon Apetit'

Asian Dipping Sauce

This makes a great dressing for salads, good for nori rolls. It mostly consists of orange juice, a touch of agave, nama shoyu some sea salt and ginger; juice, powder or minced.. I make it to taste because I want that perfect blend of sweet and savory. Blend it all up in your Vitamix or food processor. BTW this tastes great on salads loaded with avocado. Pickle your own ginger slices and add that on later. I made my own pickled cucumbers last month chopped it into my mock tuna salad and boy was it delish.

Salads

Can I express how bored I get with salads? No worries though because this is when I try to rethink a more interesting approach to eating salads while resisting the urge to juice it all up. I think it all comes down to what kind of dressing will make it even more appetizing. I'm not crazy about Braggs but I do love mixing olive oil with different ingredients like shallots, herbs and sometimes making a kind of Avo-Dressing. Still working on a flavor that I absolutely love. When I come up with one I'll post it here.
